The critical need to retain all our current officials, while expanding our attempts to recruit new officials, has been deemed a top priority. A committee has been formed to identify referees, and we will be responsible for scheduling officials for games at the high school and youth levels.
We understand the 2023 season is long and times may be difficult but we would like to start by asking if you THINK you will be available to referee next season. In addition, if you need to complete or refresh your training or certification, we hold annual rules updates and training at the beginning of each season. A few teams have offered their Fall Ball practices as a practice "classroom", and we will have at least one scrimmage for referees to work (NOTE: any time on the field with a team, whether for practice or scrimmage, will be paid a game fee rate)
Also, if you know of anyone, however remote the possibility, who might be interested in becoming an official please reach out to them and give them our contact - or we would be more than happy to contact them.
